Ars Urbana Competition for the design and realization of exhibition spaces within the event. We will be present with the installation: 20 SQM TO LIVE, 5 TO REFLECT by Davide Ventura, Pardo D’Angelo Architecture Associated Studio, Vera Luciani.
Our project addresses the land consumption crisis in Italy, highlighting the scarcity of urban green spaces: on average, only 20 square meters per inhabitant, with some cities dropping to 5 square meters. Through an interactive installation, we aim to raise awareness about the issue and stimulate critical reflections.
The installation includes two floating islands: the first, measuring 20 square meters, represents the national average and is accessible to the public; the second, measuring 5 square meters and inaccessible, symbolizes cities with less green space, emphasizing the disconnect and the urgency for intervention. The islands, bordered by red structures, evoke the danger of land consumption, while the use of native plant species promotes sustainability and urban well-being.
